The only dream you can fulfill 1307 is a wet one.

Yeah, that style v Palace was shit and I imagine you wanted your ticket money back after the match.

Yes he's had his moments. Tidy lay-offs etc. I've no massive criticism of that part of his play - neither do I think it's that good overall. He plays best in a style I don't think is healthy or worthwhile for the team.

Re: Fit Andy Carroll
1307 complete wind up merchant.

Andy is a 20-30 minute sub. He'll never be fully fit for 30+ games and on too much money to sell elsewhere. And as Alex V says, he destroys the way we seem designed to play under Bilic. Need a quicker player who runs channels and stretches defences to create space for our midfielders and fullbacks/wingbacks

Re: Fit Andy Carroll
How do you think he did running on to Obiang's through ball on the deck; the way he cooly slotted it home?

And what do you think of the way he lays off passes to the runners on the wings when the passes aren't immediately obvious?

I take it you think they were miscues.

Re: Fit Andy Carroll
There has been a theory that Carroll could contribute successfully to a different style of play - I've seen no actual evidence that it could be true. If you don't float the ball up at head height he really isn't much good.

Alex V

ClicheƩ and wrong argument to say he is only a bruiser. Anyone who has watched him sees there is much more to him that that when he's fit.

When he's fit.

Why? Are Spurs planning on buying Carroll, 1307?

I completely disagree. Carroll is a bruiser that suits a very limited old-fashioned style of attritional direct football that is incompatible with the ethos of our club. Can't wait for him to leave.

We can only dream of having a consistently fit Andy Carrol, it sadly seems.

Oly time will tell if we manage to get hold of a better one. We'll need a bit of luck with the scouting to get one, or have to spunk our budget on one.
